Young Life has been reaching students in Pitt County for 30 years, and there are no signs of stopping! We have ministry in some of the public high schools and middle schools, at ECU serving college students from ECU & PCC, a ministry serving students with special needs, and one serving teen moms.
Each week, our volunteer Young Life leaders are spending hours and hours with students in Pitt County. Leaders are showing up on THEIR turf. If kids are there, there's a good chance you'll see a Young Life leader around!
Our leaders sacrificially give of their time each week to spend with kids, receive training and equipping from the staff, and strategizing on how to reach the new group of kids. Our leaders range from spiritually mature college freshmen to Christian adults whose kids have gone off to college and are looking for a way to serve. Our volunteer leaders are some of the best people you will ever meet!
Since 1992, Young Life leaders in Pitt County have walked with kids and earned the right to be heard in an exhausting and exciting world. In 2019, 500 kids in Pitt County, on average, were involved with a Young Life club or campaigner meeting on a weekly basis.
